Our Mission
At Alta we roast organically grown beans, which are sustainably produced and harvested. We support organic coffee growers for the health and prosperity of those who work the land to bring our customers the very best, for the Earth and the people. We believe that coffee drinkers deserve clean, quality beans from growers who benefit from ideal working conditions and sustainable farming practices.
We are providing coffee to our community and beyond. We started organic and continue our mission because it is our core belief that organic farming is best for our planet and all of its inhabitants.

Air-Roasted
With our Sivetz Roaster, we take notes on what works and what doesn’t. We roast, and then cup every variety of bean in order to insure our customers are getting the right roast for each region’s subtle needs. We create blends that round out the flavors and depth of many regions.

Patti Spooner - Founder/Owner
Patti's passion is in the business she has grown for over 3 decades. She believes we as consumers must stay conscious of our purchases. She has focused on the impact monoculture farming has had on coffee communities, and vows to support small organic farming to bring good coffee
Shannon McCarthy - Head Roaster
As an artist and advocate for environmental and social sustainability, Shannon brings a passion for roasting Alta’s organic coffee beans. She believes each decision, like how coffee is sourced and enjoyed, can lead to a healthier planet for all.
Dana Buckler - Office Manager
Dana brings a wealth of knowledge as office manager with her background in both the administrative field and the restaurant industry. Dana is passionate about family, friends, the environment and her community as demonstrated by the many years of volunteering she has done. She is thrilled to be a part of the Alta Organic Coffee family.
